Manila Clasico heats up with crucial Game 5
As Star and Brgy. Ginebra have fought to a deuce in the 2017 PBA Philippine Cup semifinals, Friday's Game 5 at the MOA Arena becomes all the more crucial as both teams dispute a much-needed 3-2 lead in a race to four.

We're lucky if we get a Game 7 but if we don't, then Game 5 is pretty much the grudge match of the Manila Clasico semis.

As Star and Brgy. Ginebra have fought to a deuce in the 2017 PBA Philippine Cup semifinals, Friday's Game 5 at the MOA Arena becomes all the more crucial as both teams dispute a much-needed 3-2 lead in a race to four.

Following back-to-back victories, albeit the second one marred by some controversy, the Gin Kings are on a rool right now and would like to extend their momentum by winning a third straight game against rival Star.

It's amazing how quickly things turned for the barangay. One day they're so close to being eliminated and the next they's so close to putting one foor into a second straight Finals appearance.

On the other side, the Hotshots have lost some of their swagger by losing a 2-0 lead but lest we forget, Star is a Grand Slam team. Fighting adversity is one of the things they are good at.

However, it should be interesting how the Hotshots respond with emotions running high and momentum definitely not on their side.

Game 5 is set for 7:00 p.m. Friday live at the MOA Arena.
