The Blur sets sights on bigger things after SEABA title win
With Gilas Pilipinas earning a trip to the FIBA-Asia Cup with the SEABA title win, the Blur can now set his sights on more important things like taking the Asian championship and making it back to the World Cup.

Manila, Philippines --- Jayson Castro's best game in the 2017 SEABA Championships came against Indonesia.

And considering the Indonesians were supposed to be the toughest challengers for Gilas Pilipinas, it wasn't mere coincidence for the reigning two-time best point guard in Asia to deliver his finest outing.

Facing their biggest test in the regional showcase, the Blur made it a point to show that he's not going to take it easy and  that he's going to lead his team to victory.

"Yun lang naman talaga pinaghahandaan namin eh, yung Indonesia at Thailand," Castro said.

"So kailangan kong i-lead yung teammates ko para makita nila na aggressive ako," he added.

Against Indonesia, Castro finished with an all-around effort of 14 points, seven rebounds, and five assists.

Coming out of his retirement from the national team, Castro's main focus was obviously not the SEABA title.

With Gilas Pilipinas earning a trip to the FIBA-Asia Cup with the SEABA title win, the Blur can now set his sights on more important things like taking the Asian championship and making it back to the World Cup.

"Lahat naman inanticipate na yun [SEABA gold]. Alam naman natin yung SEABA, kaya nating mag-dominate," Castro said.

"So yung pinaghahandaan talaga natin yung FIBA Asia talaga, qualifying for Worlds," he added.
