San Miguel, Star dispute crucial 2-1 lead
Nabbing a close 77-76 win in Game 2 to tie the best-of-5 affair at one game each, the Beermen are now looking to take some of that momentum to seize the upper hand against the always dangerous Hotshots.

After splitting the first two games, San Miguel and Star will now dispute a crucial 2-1 lead as their 2017 PBA Commissioner's Cup semifinal series shifts to Game 3 Wednesday at the Araneta Coliseum.

Nabbing a close 77-76 win in Game 2 to tie the best-of-5 affair at one game each, the Beermen are now looking to take some of that momentum to seize the upper hand against the always dangerous Hotshots.

Beating Star at its own game, a defensive struggle, San Miguel is confident its offensive weapons will bounce back for a big performance in Game 3.

However, the Hotshots will have a say in that as Star was one Paul Lee conversion away from going up 2-0.

With import Ricardo Ratliffe still playing at a high level, the burden of adjustment falls on Star's locals as the team aims to move closer to its first finals appearance since their Grand Slam season three years ago.

Game time at the Big Dome is set for 7:00 p.m.
