Wangs Basketball pummels AMA for second straight win
Fil-Am Robbie Herndon finished with a double-double to lead Wangs Basketball past AMA Online Education.

Wangs Basketball dominated AMA Online Education to score its second straight win in a 110-85 rout Tuesday in the 2017 PBA D-League Foundation Cup at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

A scorching 30-point first quarter explosion sparked the Couriers’ blowout to pocket their fifth victory in eight outings.

Fil-Am Robbie Herndon scattered 23 points, 13 rebounds, and three assists with all but one of coach Pablo Lucas’ players scoring a field goal in the clinical win.

John Ambulodto tallied 12 markers and eight boards, Michael Juico got 12 points, four rebounds, and two assists, and John Montemayor had 12 markers and three boards for Wangs.

“Nag-work hard lang yung mga players sa defense at yun ang nagdala ng panalo sa amin,” said Lucas.

The Titans showed some resistance to chop their deficit to 52-46 with 7:46 in the third. But Wangs opened the floodgates to build a 98-69 cushion after a pair of treys from Herndon with 3:47 left to play.

Renzo Subido had 35 points and eight assists in a lost cause for AMA.

The Titans slid further back the standings at 1-6 slate.
