The Philippine Azkals remain unbeaten in the third round of the 2019 AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers following yet another comeback draw against Yemen last October 11th in Doha.

Roughly a week later, even more good news comes for the Philippine men's football squad as they jump to 116th in the world, according to the latest FIFA World Football Rankings.

This is a seven-step leap from their 123rd spot a month ago.

What's more is that this is now their second-best FIFA ranking in association history, one spot behind their record-best 115th ranking, which they reached back in 2015.

Currently sitting on top of Group F, the Azkals are on track to make even more history by qualifying for their first ever AFC Asian Cup tournament.

The Pinoy side remains as the top football nation in Southeast Asia, while improving to 19th in the Asian Football Confederation.

Germany remains on top of the world in terms of football, followed by Brazil, Portugal, Argentina, and Belgium.
