MVP Perez, Pirates faced with big Finals test after loss
If Lyceum was to win a championship against the San Beda dynasty, the team was going to deal with great adversity at some point. The timing was never really important. How the Pirates react is what's important.

Lyceum never actually had to bounce back so far this season.

Why? Because the Pirates ran amok in NCAA Season 93, winning 18 straight games all the way to an automatic Finals appearance.

After absorbing a stunning loss in Game 1 of the Finals at the hands of defending champion San Beda Friday, Lyceum's ability to bounce back will be tested next week.

Why? Because if the Pirates fail, there's no tomorrow.

"Nasa utak ko lang is kailangan namin bumawi," Most Valuable Player CJ Perez said.

"Lalaruin pa rin namin yung makakaya namin next game, actually wala naman nagbago sa nararamdaman namin ngayon. At least ginaawa namin yung best namin," he added.

Taking their first loss at the worst possible time, the Pirates are forced to deal with adversity with little to no room for error.

"Same mentality samin, kailangan lang namin bumawi," Perez said.
