Mentally kaya na namin sila -- Racraquin on win vs. CSB
To get a win over them is a big thing talaga, sobra -- Cesca Racraquin

San Beda College built an all-important momentum heading into the NCAA after submitting the same team that gave them an early exit in the contest last season.

The Lady Red Spikers exacted revenge on College of St. Benilde in their first meeting since the Lady Blazers booted out SBC in the NCAA stepladder semifinals eight months ago.

SBC defeated CSB, 25-21, 25-20, 17-25, 25-22 Wednesday in Group B of the inaugural Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

“Sobrang laking confidence booster (ng panalo) lalo na sa mga bata at bago sa amin,” said Cesca Racraquin. “’Yun kasi ang pinakakinulang kami last year sa NCAA.”

The NCAA Season 92 rookie of the year Racraquin scored 15 points with 12 coming off kills while adding 22 digs and 16 excellent receptions on the defensive end.

“To get a win over them is a big thing talaga, sobra,” said the sophomore, who is averaging 14.3 points per game. “Para kaming nakakuha ng one over them. Parang ganoon. Parang mentally kaya na namin sila.”

The Lady Red Spikers improved to 2-1 win-loss record for a tie with previous game tormentor Arellano University.

SBC sent the Lady Blazers deeper down the cellar with their second loss in as many outings.
