Alejandro states the obvious: NU now in a must-win situation
NU Bulldogs' team captain J-Jay Alejandro is well-prepared for what could be his final two games donning the Bulldogs' uniform.
FACING what could be his final two games as a collegiate player, NU Bulldogs team captain J-Jay Alejandro calls their final two matchups against the the FEU Tamaraws and the UP Fighting Maroons a must-win situation in order to have a chance to have a crack at the Final Four.
Although in defeat, Alejandro is very positive about their two matchups, although he mentioned that their Final Four hopes are not entirely in their hands.
“We need to win. Kung ganoon yung type na para makapasok sa playoffs, although hindi na hawak namin ang chances namin, well siguro we have to win.”
The fifth-year guard, who tallied 20 points, eight rebounds, five assists, and eight turnovers in a devastating 76-101 loss to defending champions De La Salle, said that the Bulldogs veered away from their game plan.
Alejandro added that the “little things” that mattered was the deciding factor in their loss.
While he only had a year under the tutelage of veteran coach Jamike Jarin, Alejandro relished his chance to be taught by the coach, and with it, has prepared him for his final playing year in the UAAP.
