Back in August 2017, Giannis Antetokounmpo was challenged by Kobe Bryant on Twitter to win the MVP award.
A little under two years later, and it's mission accomplished for the Greek Freak.
Antetokounmpo took home MVP honors at the 2019 NBA Awards show, surpassing fellow finalists Paul George of the Oklahoma City Thunder, and last year's winner James Harden of the Houston Rockets.
Bryant, who won MVP himself back in 2008, was probably watching as well, and made sure to tip his cap to Giannis:
The Black Mamba though made sure to challenge the young gun anew, saying that next up should be an NBA championship.
