Lin, who remains unsigned after winning an NBA championship with the Toronto Raptors a few months back, said that he feels "like in some ways the NBA's kind of given up on me."
Young, perhaps better known as "Swaggy P," tweeted at Lin, "@JLin7
It’s alot of ppl who feel the same way myself included but stay positive you have so much more to offer... you are the man bro remember that, dnt let nothing take away your joy.. my Chinese homie to many ppl love and look up to you my brotha.. but bring back the dreads"
Swaggy P can perhaps indeed relate. After winning a championship with the Golden State Warriors in 2018, he became a free agent, and was not signed by any team by opening day. He did finally land with the Denver Nuggets in December of last year, but was waived by the end of the month, playing in just four games and averaging 2.3 points.
It's been reported that European powerhouse CSKA Moscow had previously had interest in signing Lin, but the Taiwanese-American rejected an offer, as he is dead-set on playing in the NBA.
Like Lin, Young is currently without an NBA team.
