BROWN MEN CAN JUMP! Jebb Bulawan wasn't to be outdone by the hyper-athletic Yankie Haruna.

The NCAA held its second annual Dunk Contest last Friday at the San Juan Arena and for the most part, it consisted of many missed attempts.

Only two competitors out of the nine total were consistent through all three preliminary rounds: College of St. Benilde’s Yankie Haruna and Lyceum of the Philippines University’s Jebb Bulawan.

THIRD ROUND

Thankfully, once the final round commenced, Bulawan and Haruna upped the ante and tried to one-up each other.

Haruna, again

The toe-to-toe battle between the two was anticlimactically ended when Haruna was unable to complete a second dunk. Still, the Finals alone made the Dunk Contest a memorable one.

Other notable dunks were:

Rey Nambatac and Michole Sorela’s pretty cool Letran-San Beda connection

Arellano’s Ely Ongolo-Ongolo leaping over two monobloc chairs
