Defending champion Arellano finished the elimination round with a near-flawless campaign, going 8-1 to earn a twice-to-beat advantage in the Final Four.
However, if the playoffs started tomorrow, there's a big chance that the Lady Chiefs will not advance.
That is according to their head coach, who was in no mood to celebrate even as the champs dropped San Sebastian in Finals rematch Thursday in the NCAA Season 93 women's volleyball tournament.
"Hindi ko na kasi nakikita yung gustong manalo eh, yung gusto talaga magback-to-back," head coach Obet Javier said.
"Yun yung nakakatakot.
With Arellano sitting pretty with a playoff bonus, Javier says the Lady Chiefs have to turn it around fast.
The champs lost to CSB earlier in the week, ending a 19-game winning streak.
And despite ultimately winning against the Lady Stags, the Lady Chiefs lost the opening set and had to work double time in the second, 36-34, just to tie things u.
