There’s two sides to the PBA playoff race. The first one is the upper half of the standings as a number of teams are fighting to get twice-to-beat advantages.
That’s almost decided.
The second is the one where the rest of the group fight for the lower seeds.
That’s still a wild one and Wednesday in the Philippine Cup, four teams will try to make their respective campaigns a little more worth the while.
In the first game at 4:30 p.m. at the Big Dome, Alaskaa (3-5) and Meralco (3-6) dispute an elusive fourth win.
The Aces have lost three straight and the Bolts still can’t seem to figure out how to solve their All-Filipino woes. Nevertheless, both teams are outside the playoff picture for the moment as they are 9th and 10th respectively.
In the second game at 7:00 p.m., no. 8 Magnolia (3-5) is out to bounce back from a previos loss against Northport (2-5).
The Batang Pier are trying to bounce back from a previous loss for a while now. Northport has lost five straight after a strong 2-0 start.
