With the Beermen holding on to a 98-94 lead, it was Terrence Romeo that delivered the dagger for the champs, drilling a jumper with 1:10 to go for a six-point spread.

There’s no stopping the San Miguel Beer dynasty,

The Beermen booked a trip to their fifth straight PBA Philippine Cup Finals, beating Phoenix Tuesday at the Cuneta Astrodome, 105-94.

With this San Miguel victory, the four-time defending champions won the best-of-7 semifinals, 4-1.

After a spirited Phoenix rally, San Miguel’s 25-point second half lead was all but gone late in the fourth.

But with the Beermen holding on to a 98-94 lead, it was Terrence Romeo that delivered the dagger for the champs, drilling a jumper with 1:10 to go for a six-point spread.

That was enough for San Miguel to hold on as they now wait for either Rain or Shine or Magnolia in the Finals.
