Magnolia went the “We Believe” route in the 2018 PBA Governors’ Cup.
It resulted with a PBA championship, the franchise’s first in four years.
For the 2019 PBA Philippine Cup Finals, a rematch against four-time champion San Miguel Beer, the Hotshots are going with the same “We Believe” mindset.
Who knows, it might just actually end a dynasty and start a new one.
“Mahirap pero ako, naniniwala ako na pag lumaban kami, pwede kaming manalo,” Magnolia forward Ian Sangalang said.
“Pwede rin kaming matalo. Well, makikita na lang namin siguro. Yung dadalhin lang namin dito yung sinasabi namin lagi na,“ We believe.” Pag tuluy-tuloy kaming naniwala, siguro may chance kami talaga na mag-champion,” he added.
After losing last year’s Finals in five games, the Hotshots believe they have a better chance now.
Winning the 2018 Governors’ Cup title is one huge reason for that. Magnolia proved they can also win.
“Siguro mas okay kami ngayon kasi mas madami kaming pinagdaanan na series. Mas madami kaming experience na pinagdaanan,” Sangalang said.
“Ayun nga, dalhin lang namin yung sa mindset namin lagi na hindi gumi-give up, na positive lang kami lagi, tapos ayun nga, yung maniwala lang kami sa bawa’t isa, siguro maganda yung kinalalabasan,” he added.
