Terrence Romeo, and in effect the whole of San Miguel Beer, is back in business in the 2019 PBA Philippine Cup Finals.
The Beermen have tied the All-Filipino Finals against Magnolia at two games each with a dominant win in Game 4 Wednesday.
With MVP June Mar Fajardo at the lead, the San Miguel offense sizzled for 114 points.
Behing the Kraken was Terrence Romeo, who was no. 2 in scoring with 18 poitns off the bench.
With a Game 2 ejection clearly behind him, Romeo was efficient from the field, shooting 50 percent while also adding five assists.
“Focused kami na manalo,” he said.
“Grabe yung focus namin sa defense, ganun din sa offense. Tapos hinahanap namin yung mga advantage namin,” he added.
A clear advantage for the Beermen this series is their overwhelming offense.
If these Philippine Cup Finals were oversimplified, San Miguel Beer wins if the Beermen score at least 100 points. That’s it.
However, more crucial for the Beermen is finding their groove early against the vaunted Magnolia defense.
In Game 4, they did just that and shot 51 percent from the field as a team, their highest in this series so far.
“Same pa rin naman tinitira namin. Tsaka pag nakuha namin nang maaga yung kumpyansa namin, mas madali naming nakukuha yung rhythm ng game eh,” Romeo said.
“Mas madali kaming nakakapaglaro nang maayos, nababasa namin yung galaw ng isa’t isa,” he added.
