In the 2018 PBA Philippine Cup Finals, Magnolia only lasted five games to San Miguel Beer.
In 2019, the Hotshots find themselves in Game 7. More importantly, they were not the ones that forced Game 7.
Magnolia actually led for so long in the series and are now looking to recover in time to end the greatest All-Filino dynasty the PBA has ever seen.
“Blessed pa rin kami na nakarating kami dito sa Game 7 na ito,” forward Ian Sangalang said after the Hotshots took a beating in Game 6 of the Finals Sunday.
“Kami lang talaga naniniwala na makakarating kami dito,” he added.
Belief has been a huge driving force in Magnolia’s charge in this series and the Hotshots will continue to rely on that factor to try and win this Philippine Cup title.
This highly-competitive series has gone down to a decisive Game 7 and the Hotshots are fine with that.
They’ll take that chance.
“Masarap maglaro ng Game 7 as long na i-enjoy lang namin ito tsaka confident lang kami, siguro makukuha namin,” Sangalang said.
“Masarap talaga laruin yung Game 7. Syempre ito yung binigay, edi ito yung lalaruin namin. Mag-group lang kami ulit, maging positive lang kami tsaka kailangan lang namin talagang maniwala na mananalo kami sa Wednesday,” he added.
