There was no celebration Sunday as four-time defending champion San Miguel Beer extended the Philippine Cup Finals by winning Game 6.
Focused from the jump, San Miguel scored a crucial 98-86 win, tying the best-of-7 series at three games each.
With Game 7 on the horizon, the champs are now out to make sure that when the inevitable celebration does come, it’s for them.
The Beermen were in control of Game 6 but lost a big lead in the third as the Hotshots managed to get to within six, 62-68.
Santos teamed up with five-time MVP June Mar Fajardo for 18 points in the fourth as San Miguel pulled away anew.
For Game 7, Arwind insists it’s important for them to take control from the start to finish once again.
“Kasi pag nakadikit sila bandang huli kami pa yung nape-pressure eh. Sila na yung nagco-control nung game, dapat kami ang nagco-control,” he said.
