San Miguel Beer is 2-4 in the 2019 PBA Commissioner's Cup after Wednesday's loss.
That's only good for 10th place in the team standings now. If the playoffs started tomorrow, the Beermen are out.
Two of San Miguel's losses were over 30 points, including Wednesday's 36-point beatdown at the hands of Magnolia. Still, the Beermen are not done just yet and they plan on rising at least four spots to get into a first-round series against whoever.
"Tingin ko mayroon pa [chance for top-6]. Pwede pa naman," forward Arwind Santos said.
"Hindi pa naman sarado yung pinto doon sa part na yan," he added.
The Beermen have failed to get any traction in the Commissioner's Cup so far as every win is immediately followed with a lackluster performance.
San Miguel still has some time to fix things up but change will have to come from within.
"Tingin ko may mga decisions na medyo minsan nako-confuse kami na akala namin ganito, iba pala," Santos said.
"Kailangan namin maayos yun," he added.
