San Miguel Beer’s Grand Slam hopes could end Sunday.

The 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup playoffs finally start at the Big Dome and the Beermen are in a must-win right from the jump.

Finishing with a 6-5 record and carrying some baggage from internal problems that are supposed to be solved, San Miguel is the no. 5 seed going head-to-head against no. 4 Barangay Ginebra.

The Gin Kings (7-4) hold a twcie-to-beat advantage and the Beermen’s quest for a second Grand Slam could end at the hands of Ginebra in the opening round, just like it did two years ago.

Tip off is at 6:45 p.m. live at the Big Dome right after the 4:30 p.m. showdown of no.  Meralco (8-3) and no. 7 Alaska (5-6).
