ONLINE REVENGE. June Mar Fajardo better watch his back in DotA as Marc Pingris will be coming for him.
Marc Pingris was no match for June Mar Fajardo on Sunday as “The Kraken” gobbled up “Pinoy Sakuragi” to the tune of a monster 21-point, 20-rebound double-double.
Fajardo powered the Beermen to a massive 57-39 rebounding advantage against the Hotshots that lifted San Miguel to a third win in a row and lowered Star to a third loss in a row.
Despite the team and personal defeat, Pingris did all he can to do battle with Fajardo as the two even figured in more than a few scuffles throughout. Asked about those after the game, Pingris told reporters, “’Di niya pababayaan San Miguel, ‘di ko rin naman pababayaan (Star).”
“Pinoy Sakuragi” clarified, however, “’Di lang namin pinapakita sa loob ng court yung pagkakaibigan namin, pero ‘pag nandun na sa labas, magkakaibigan kami.”
As a matter of fact, Pingris is eagerly looking forward to another DotA session with Fajardo. “Laro lang (dito), pero mamaya, magdo-DotA na kami,” he said.
After what happened during the basketball game, Pingris jested that he will see to it that Fajardo will feel his wrath in the online game. “Iki-kill ko yan mamaya,” the Hotshot warned the Beerman.
For his part, Fajardo said he has nothing to worry about during the online game. “Okay lang. Magkakampi naman kami e,” he said.
