Kobe Paras shines, but team ends up winless at Nations Global Camp 2015

Filipino basketball prodigy Kobe Paras managed to show his potential, but his Team Nations Select finished winless and lost by an average of 50 points in three outings in pool play at the adidas Nations Global Camp 2015 at the Next Level Sports Complex in Long Beach, California.
In its first outing on Friday (Saturday in the Philippines), Team Nations Select was annihilated by USA 2016 Team Rose, 138 - 69.
Paras scored 13 points on four of 12 shooting from the field, including three three-point shots, along with a rebound and a pair of assists in a team-high 31 minutes of action.
Team Nations Select performed better in its next game, but it still suffered a 110 - 77 loss to USA 2017 Team Lillard on Saturday (Sunday in the Philippines).
The 6'6" Paras, who is entering his senior year at Cathedral High School in Los Angeles, scored eight points on three of six shooting and added three rebounds and two assists in 20 minutes of play against USA 2017 Team Lillard.
Paras had his best performance of the tournament later in the day as he scored a team-high 21 points on seven of 16 shooting from the field in 31 minutes, but Team Nations Select still fell to Team Latin America, 117 - 68, and was eliminated from the next round as it finished 0-3 in Pool B.
In three games, Paras averaged 14 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists while shooting 42.4 percent from the field (29.2 percent from the three-point distance) in 27.3 minutes per outing.
