Book on coach Baby Dalupan's life launched

The Maestro of Philippine Basketball, Virgilio "Baby" Dalupan.
To celebrate his 92nd birthday, Virgilio "Baby" Dalupan and his family launched a new book centered around the life and times of the legendary Philippine basketball head coach.
Titled "The Maestro of Philippine Basketball" the book was revealed Monday at the Ateneo de Manila University's Singson Hall and was graced by many of Coach Baby's former players from Ateneo, UE, Crispa, Great Taste and Purefoods.
Also in attendance were PBA Commissioner Chito Narvasa, a former player of Dalupan in Ateneo, and coach Tim Cone of Ginebra who recently surpassed coach Baby as the winningest tactician in the history of the PBA.
Current Mapua head coach and former Redmanizer Atoy Co as well as Robert Jaworski, a former player for UE nad rival with Toyota, were also at the event.
Former PBA MVP Ricardo Brown, who played for Dalupan's Great Taste teams in the 1980s offered a message to his former coach.
Dalupan won a total of 12 UAAP championships for the UE Red Warriors including an unprecedented seven straight.
He returned to Ateneo to lead the Blue Eagles to back-to-back NCAA championships.
In the PBA, Coach Baby won 15 title, nine for the legendary Crispa Redmanizers, five for Great Taste and one for Purefoods.
