I miss the girls from Purefoods -- James Yap's girlfriend Michela on new WAGS row

I miss the girls from Purefoods but Iím also happy to meet the new girls (from Rain or Shine) because theyíre very, very nice as well -- Michela Cazzola
It’s not only James Yap that needed to adjust Sunday when Rain or Shine clashed with Star Hotshots in the 2017 PBA Philippine Cup at the Big Dome.
Even his partner Michela Cazzola found it a bit different sitting on the Elasto Painters’ wives and girlfriends (WAGS) row.
Rain or Shine’s Yap played against his former team Star for the first time since being traded to the Elasto Painters two months ago for Paul Lee.
It was also the first time for Michela to be on a different side of the WAGS section, away from the bleacher row she used to sit together with the likes of Marc Pingris’ wife Danica Sotto-Pingris.
“I miss my girls from Purefoods (Star). Of course I’ve known the girls of Purefoods like Danica (Pingris), Ma’am Reena (Del Mundo), Cindy Patrimonio (wife of team manager Alvin Patrimonio) and Ruselle (Barroca) for how many years, right? Of course I miss them,” she said when reporters caught up with the Italian looker after the Elasto Painters’ 91-99 loss.
Michela understood that it is normal in pro basketball for players and their family to adjust to new environment once players get traded. And "Mrs. Yap" is happy for the warm welcome she received from the Elasto Painters’ WAGS.
“But I’m also happy to meet the new girls because they’re very, very nice as well. The wife of Jeff Chan, Donna, and all of them,” said Michela, who gave birth to baby Michael James four months ago.
Though they’re on the different side of the bleachers, Michela said that she and the Star WAGS still spend time together.
“I miss the girls from before but we still hang out together sometimes,” she said. “We go out for drinks and merienda, ganoon.”
