Despite the tension surrounding the near sold-out arena for the highly-anticipated matchup of Star and Rain or Shine, Paul Lee made true of his promise of treating this particular game against his former squad as just another day in the office.

A picture of composure in the last two minutes, Lee scored or assisted in Star's final nine points and led the Hotshots to an emotional 99-91 victory against a Rain or Shine team featuring James Yap Sunday at the Big Dome.

And in case you're unaware, Yap is a seven-time PBA champion who spent his first 12 years in the PBA under the Purefoods franchise. Two months ago, he figured in a blockbuster trade that saw him and Paul Lee swicth teams.

But back to Lee, the 2016 Commissioners' Cup Finals MVP (which he won with Rain or Shine by the way), burned his former squad with 14 points, including a clutch triple with less than two minutes to go and back-to-back assists to Aldrech Ramos that led to another pair of treys plus the win.

Just another day for the Leethal Weapon.

"For me, same lang naman. Nalipat lang ako sa Star, kailangan ko gawin ang trabaho ko dito. Kailangan ko mag-perform, kailangan namin manalo every game," Lee said after playing his first game agains the Elasto Painters.

Fully invested with his new team, Lee has been all about winning as of late. It didn't matter if it was against Rain or Shine, the former no. 2 overall pick just wanted to get that third straight victory.

And he got it.

"End of the day, it's about kailangan namin manalo," Lee said. "Di ko na tiningnan yung kailangan ko mag-pakita, kailangan ko tumira ng marami, or Rain or Shine ang kalaban, hindi ganun."

While he maintains it's all business, Lee did have some interaction with his former teammates after he got blocked by Jericho Cruz and was on the receiving end of a foul from Beau Belga.

But in typical Paul Lee fashion, he's cool as ice about it.

"Medyo matagal na ako sa liga na ito, di na pwede sa akin yun, di na ako nagpapadala. End of the day, sa amin pa rin yung huling halakhak," he said.
