Twice falling victim to the inside dominance of Singapore’s Justin Howard and Xavier Alexander, Alab Pilipinas is moving quick for a counter.

The Philippine representatives in the 2016 Asean Basketball League confirmed on Friday that Korean reinforcements Lee and Dong Seung Jun are no longer with the team.

“We will change imports,” head coach Mac Cuan said.

Cuan pointed out that Alab needed much more size to be able to keep up with a frontline like the Slingers and league-leading Hong Kong have. “Our priority is a big import who plays big,” Cuan said.

They are still in the process of looking for that “big import,” however.

Through four games in the tournament, the Korean brothers provided the shooting and mobility they have been known for, but were no match for Howard, Alexander, or even Filipino Raymar Jose who’s serving as import for Taiwan.
