Rain or Shine's James Yap and Italian girlfriend Michella Cazzola will surely enjoy this very special Christmas Day.
For a change James Yap won’t be sweating it out on Christmas Day.
The popular cager will be at the comfort of his home this year with his partner Michella Cazzola and four-month old son, Michael James away from the traditional PBA grind every December 25.
Yap was traded to Rain or Shine two months ago by the Star Hotshots for Paul Lee after 12 years of service under the San Miguel franchise.
The two-time Most Valuable Player won’t be seeing action on Sunday when Star faces Bgy. Ginebra in the featured Manila Classico in the 2017 PBA Philippine Cup at the massive Philippine Arena in Bulacan.
Aside from having the whole day for themselves for the first time in three years, Cazzola said that this Christmas will be extra special for her and Yap.
“Of course mas masaya this year,” the Italian said. “We’re gonna spend it first time as a family, with the baby. We’re gonna stay home and enjoy (Christmas) with our baby.”
She said that they will just have a simple celebration.
“We want to spend our Christmas na quiet lang like cooking, eating, inviting friends in the evening that’s it,” said Cazzola, who plans to cook lasagna and steak or Yap’s favorite pasta with meat sauce or truffle.
Yap will surely get a well-deserved three-day break before getting back into training on December 27.
