FAMILY BUSINESS. Mac Belo is nothing but glad that the reins of FEU was handed to Olsen Racela - the kuya of Nash.
Far Eastern University will be going from one Racela to another.
And for one former Tamaraw, that’s the best coaching change they could undergo.
In Mac Belo’s view, there is no doubt that new coach Nash Racela will simply push through with the program younger brother Nash has already established for four years. As he put it, “Kampanteng-kampante ako. Pagkabasa ko nga na si (coach Olsen) yung magiging coach, sobrang tuwa ko kasi alam kong in good hands pa rin ang FEU.”
He then continued, “Masaya ako para sa FEU kasi brother din ni coach Nash yun. Maipapagpatuloy lang niya yung program na nasimulan ni coach Nash.”
Of course, if there’s someone who knows a thing or two about what the Nash Racela has done for Morayta, it may very well be the recruit from Midsayap, North Cotabato who proceeded to lead them to a championship in 2015.
Belo went on to say that just like his younger brother, the 46-year-old Olsen is more than capable of steering the ship. “Kilala natin si coach Olsen. Magaling siyang coach so alam ko na maganda ang programang magagawa niya sa FEU,” he said.
