Five teams currently have 4-4 records in the 2017 PBA Philippine Cup. At the end of Wednesday, two teams will break away from that logjam, for better or for worse.

TNT and Phoenix face separate foes at the Cuneta Astrodome in hopes of trying to improve their respective playoff campaigns.

The struggling KaTropa take the floor first against a confident Mahindra (2-5) squad at 4:15 p.m. with the Floodbuster looking to make in three in a row and solidify their own case for a quarterfinals slot.

Since scoring a Christmsa breakthrough, Mahindra has carried on in 2017 and facing a vulnerable TNT squad, a team that has lost two straight, seems like the perfect opportunity for the Floodbuster to keep turning their campaign around.

In the second game, Phoenix looks to jump back on the winning track as the Fuel Masters take on NLEX at 7:00 p.m.

Despite an impressive outing against TNT, the Road Warriors failed to get anything going after falling short to Globalport, dropping their record to 2-6.

The Fuel Masters meanwhile go for a strong finish after suffering a hiccup vs. Rain or Shine.
