No fracture for Japeth after dunk gone wrong

Tim Cone didn't really lose sleep on Japeth Aguilar's apparent elbow injury but whatever worries the 19-time PBA champion coach has on his talented big man should be erased by now.

That's because Aguilar's X-ray result showed that he didn't suffer any fracture on his right elbow.

Player agent Matthew Manotoc of the Espiritu Manotoc Basketball Management who represent Aguilar confirmed the news on his Twitter account, @mmanotoc.

"After an x-ray, @japethaguilar35 has no elbow fracture," Manotoc tweeted.

The 6'9" Aguilar went down late in the first half against Blackwater after an awkward fall following a breakaway dunk. Initial diagnosis was a hyperextended elbow and he didn't return in the second half of Ginebra's 99-90 victory.

With the Gin Kings at 5-4 and another crucial matchup coming up Sunday, Aguilar's status remains up in the air.

"His status for Sunday is we don't know that either. We'll have to see what happens tomorrow [Saturday], how he feels, how much pain he has," Cone said.
