Troy Rosario added to Gilas Pilipinas pool
With approval from the PBA board and his mother team TNT, former UAAP champion with the NU Bulldogs Troy Rosario has been added to the Gilas pool, pushing the total number to 25, 26 including naturalized center Andray Blatche.

Two days since the announcement of the complete list, there's already movement in the 24-man Gilas Pilipinas pool.

Movement in a good way.

With approval from the PBA board and his mother team TNT, former UAAP champion with the NU Bulldogs Troy Rosario has been added to the Gilas pool, pushing the total number to 25, 26 including naturalized center Andray Blatche.

National team head coach Chot Reyes confirmed the development on his Twitter account.

Rosario, who played for Tab Baldwin's FIBA OQT lineup last year, was left out of the initial list in favor of Gilas veteran Jayson Castro.

Under the agreement of the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas and the PBA, Reyes and his staff can pick one player per team in addidtion to the 12 Gilas cadets.

The versatile forward now becomes the third member from the flagship PBA franchise to be part of the pool together with Castro and RR Pogoy.

Despite picking the Blur from their initial TNT pick, Reyes and his staff already had their eyes on Rosario.

"Of course, we're also looking at Troy Rosario who certainly deserves to be there," Reyes said Sunday after the announcement of the complete 24-man lineup.
