Kelly Williams' revival tour is officially on.

The 2008 PBA Most Valuable Player literally had his best game in seven years Wednesday in Game 1 of TNT's best-of-7 Philippine Cup semifinals series against two-time defending champion San Miguel Beer.

Machine Gun Kelly, who turned 35-years-old just the day before, came through for the flasgship MVP franchise with 24 points and five rebounds off the bench.

But with the KaTropa losing a rather disappointing 98-111 decision to the Beermen, Williams' best game in seven years was basically good for nothing.

"It don't really mean a thing if you lose," Williams said.

Kelly wasn't in a completely foul mood though, despite falling behind 0-1 in the race to four, the former top pick remains confident of their chances against the champs.

TNT actually played the Beermen tough from the second quarter until the end of the game, it just so happened they lost the opening 12 minutes, 16-32.

"We're focused on the fact that it's a series, and we're looking forward to the next game. We have small adjustments to make, and we're confident about going into Game 2," he said.
