Kiefer Ravena has much more work to do, and so has Team Philippines, in the Dubai Basketball Tournament.
Ravena and the rest of the Mighty Sports-backed squad showed they are still developing their chemistry as a more together Sale Morocco got the better of them, 75-83, on Saturday (Philippine time) in Dubai.
Leading by one inside the last three minutes, the Philippines had no answer for Brandon Freeman who dropped four long-range bombs in a 14-2 blast that suddenly took an 80-69 lead for Sale Morroco.
Mighty Sports would not be able to threaten the rest of the way.
Ravena wound up with 11 points while former Ginebra import Justin Brownlee did the heavy lifting with 27 markers.
Unable to close out the contest, however, Team Philippines suffered a setback to start the invitational.
Much-hyped import Hasheem Thabeet is also set to seek a mighty bounce back after only posting five points and three rebounds.
