MIND GAMES. Ping and Lee wasted little time in plotting for Game 6

Star's two Hotshots were barely off the court from their Game 5 victory and they were already plotting for Game 6.
Fresh from winning Game 5 to take a crucial 3-2 lead in the Manila Clasico, Marc Pingris had a little talk with Paul Lee in the middle of the Mall of Asia Arena Friday night.
They were talking about how to win Game 6 and move on to the 2017 PBA Philippine Cup Finals.
That's how serious this series has turned out to be, Star's two Hotshots were barely off the court from their Game 5 victory and they were already plotting for Game 6.
But with Tim Cone on the other side doing the same thing for Brgy. Ginebra, Ping and Lee having their little talk is almost necessary to make sure Star comes out victorious in this heated semifinal showdown.
"Nag-usap lang kami kung ano yung mga adjustment na gagawin ng Ginebra kasi kilala ko na si coach Tim," Pingris said of the conversation.
"So ang sabi niya [Lee], kailangan natin makuha next game. Huwag tayong papadala sa crowd, kailangan makuha natin to. Kwentuhan lang kung ano yung dapat namin gawin next game," he added.
With Star on the verge of a triumphant return to the PBA Finals, Pingirs is pulling out all the stops now for the Hotshots.
A longtime trusted player of Cone back when they were winning a Grand Slam, Ping knows that closing out Ginebra is going to take a huge effort.
It's already hard closing out the Gin Kings with their "Never Say Die" attitude. Put Cone in the mix and it makes for a tougher job altogether.
"Ito yung pinakamahirap. Alam ko hindi basta-basta sumusuko yung Ginebra. Sabi nga ni coach, i-expect niyo yung war. War talaga yan," he said.
"Talagang piso-piso. Yung A-game nila ilalabas nila at yung A-game namin ilalabas din namin. Kasi wala kang magagawa eh, talagang yung fans nila, sobra pang sumigaw rining kahit hanggang sa labas. Kahit hanggang Cubao maririning eh," Pingris added.
