San Miguel's All-Filipino dynasty lives.

The Beermen advanced to a third straight Philippine Cup Finals after stopping TNT KaTropa, 96-83, in Game 7 of the semifinals Monday at the MOA Arena.

Using an explosive third-quarter effort, San Miguel successfully came back from a 2-3 series deficit to eliminate TNT, keeping its run for a third straight All-Filipino title alive.

Up by only two points at the break, the Beermen unloaded 36 points in the third, outscoring the KaTropa by 15 points in the process, to go up by 17 points entering the last 12 minutes. That was enough to the champs to practically put the series on ice.

The victory means that the Beermen remain on the hunt to win the Jun Bernardino trophy, a feat that has only been done once in PBA history.

TNT holds that exclusive honor.

Showing no signs of fatigue, San Miguel's starters came through in Game 7, scoring all but the team's eight points. The MVP pair of June Mar Fajardo and Arwin Santos led the way for the Beermen, scoring 22 apiece and combining for a total of 32 rebounds.

Chris Ross likewise finished with a double-double, accounting for 18 points, 10 assists and six rebounds. Alex Cabagnot and Marcio Lassiter added 14 and 12 markers respectively.

"First of all, I would like to congratulate TNT especially coach Nash for a job well done. Talagang pinalabas nila kung anong meron kami," head coach Leo Austria said.

"Fortunately ang mga players ko ay di nag-give up. I know from the start na this will be a tough series for us. If there's a team na kinatatakutan namin it's TNT," he added.

TNT, who sorely missed ace Jayson Castro to a hamstring injury, struggled on offense all game long, shooting only 37 percent from the field.

Larry Fonacier was the KaTropa's high man after scoring 14 points from the bench while rookie Roger Pogoy added 13. Kelly Williams finished with 11 points and 14 rebounds.

The Beermen will now wait for the winner of the Star-Ginebra series for an all-SMC Finals. Game 1 is scheduled for Friday.
