San Miguel actively trying to avoid another "Beeracle" run

--- Arwind Santos.
Last season, it took San Miguel four games to score a win in the Philippine Cup Finals.
You might still remember that particular series, that's when the Beermen did the incredible "Beeracle' run after all.
While that effort was historic, impressive, and pretty sweet overall, San Miguel would rather not do it again.
That's why one year later, back in the Finals with an opportunity to win a rare three-peat, the Beermen made sure to take care of their business as early as Game 1.
The two-time champs certainly have the golden opportunity to really take control of their championship showdown against Brgy. Ginebra. The Beermen, after all, did just issue a 27-point beating to the Gin Kings to go up 1-0 in te race to four.
However, before thinking about anything else, the immediate focus for San Miguel now is trying to sustain its deadly form with the Finals travelling to Quezon for Game 2 on Sunday.
It's at least a four-hour drive from Manila.
Yung kalaban puwede kang takbuhan kaya dapat handa ka," Santos said.
But with a chance to win the prestigious trophy, travelling to wherever and staying sharp for at least two more weeks is a small sacrifice to make.
"Yung goal namin na makuha yung Perpetual trophy nandiyan na, kaya eager na eager kami manalo," Arwind said.
