"Pagbabayaran nila kung ano mang mga ginawa nila." --- Kevin Ferrer
Ginebra rookie Kevin Ferrer is not backing down in the face of mighty San Miguel in the Philippine Cup Finals.
As things start to get heated in the best-of-7 series, Ferrer has vowed to make the Beermen pay to whatever it is that they did most especially in Game 3.
While Arwind Santos has fired the most obvious shot with his remarks on the Ginebra newcomer, Ferrer is keeping it safe, saying that he and his team will just focus on the upcoming Game 4.
"Okay lang kahit anong gawin nila bata stick together kami, pagpaplanuhan namin sila, pagbabayaran nila kung ano mang mga ginawa nila," a defiant Ferrer said.
He may not addressed Santos directly, Ferrer did have something to say about Chris Ross' garbage time three that got under the skin of Ginebra head coach Tim Cone.
He found it disrepectful that Ross would attempt such a shot late in the fourth quarter with the game already won for San Miguel.
"Alam naman ng lahat ng players or team na pag ganun, na kapag wala na ngang depensa, lamang na sila, titira pa rin sila, parang di rin kami nirerespeto," he said.
Psych wars aside, Ferrer likewise addressed Ginebra's needs in order to secure a Game 4 victory and tie the series anew.
"Yung pag-execute ng plays, medyo nagmamadali kami and pagkatapos nun di namin naco-convert tapos sa kabila di kami nakaka-depensa, yun sa tingin ko yung nagkulang kami," he said.
Game 4 is set for Friday at the Big Dome.
