Alab Pilipinas determined to get over Saigon-sized hump
MONKEY OFF THE BACK. The Philippines is down 1-2 in its head-to-head matchup against Saigon.

With all teams getting into a playoff push in the 2016-2017 Asean Basketball League, Alab Pilipinas have chosen the worst time to go through a slump.

Still, their recent struggles have only made the Filipinos more determined to return to their winning ways.

Alab try to do just that on Friday when they travel again to the CIS Arena in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam to take on a Saigon squad they could not seem to figure out.

The Philippines battles the Heat for the fourth time in the last month beginning at 8:30 PM and it will be LIVE on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23 and via livestream.

Losers of three of their last five, Alab have fallen back into an 8-6 standing. With Ray Parks Jr. still not at full-strength, they are hoping for the other guys to step up.

All but one of the Filipinos’ losses have come at the hands of Saigon who have been surging since the arrival of American import Moses Morgan. Now at 5-8, they want nothing more than to continue their climb atop the leaderboard.
