Nginitian ko na lang -- Santos on Ginebra rookie Ferrer

San Miguel's Arwind Santos once again gets the last laugh on match with Barangay Ginebra rookie Kevin Ferrer.
Save for an isolated incident of San Miguel’s Arwind Santos hitting the back of the head of Barangay Ginebra rookie Kevin Ferrer while saving the ball midway in the fourth, there was no added color between the two rivals Friday in Game 4 of the best-of-seven 2017 PBA Philippine Cup.
It was just the Gin Kings getting a black and blue beating, 94-85, from the now 3-1 San Miguel Beermen Friday at the Big Dome.
Fans were waiting for a big drama to happen between the two as a follow up to their scorching exchange of words in Game 3.
Ferrer never had a chance to fulfill his vow to make San Miguel pay.
It was the 35-year-old Santos again who had the last laugh against the 23-year-old pro newbie.
With the game already going San Miguel’s way, Santos in the middle of the fourth hustled to save the ball at the baseline hitting Ferrer’s nape in the process.
The fiery University of Sto. Tomas product recovered the ball and tried to go coast to coast for a basket but Santos was there for the chase down denial.
Asked by reporters to comment on the save attempt by Santos, Ferrer was cooler than he was the last time.
“Ewan ko bahala na siya dun kung ano,” he said. “Basta ako alam parts of the game talaga ‘yun e.”
As for Santos, he would rather keep everything to himself.
“Nginitian ko na lang. Basta ako, no comment ako,” said Santos, who had eight points and 12 rebounds.
Ferrer also had a bad game with only six points, three rebounds and five fouls.
