"Nagawa nila, so kaya rin naman naman yun." --- LA Tenorio on Ginebra trying to stage own version of the "Beeracle" run.
On the verge of losing the PBA Finals, Brgy. Ginebra is drawing inspiration its own opponent in hopes of salvaging a Philippine Cup championship.
Down 1-3 to the Beermen after Game 4, the Gin Kings are looking at San Miguel's "Beeracle" from last year to keep morale up.
Ginebra is now saying if San Miguel did it, there's absolutely no reason they can't do it too.
"Di naman kami out eh. Di pa tapos, we still have a chance," LA Tenorio said as his team faces another do-or-die situation starting in Game 5.
"Nagawa nila, so kaya rin naman naman yun," he added referencing San Miguel's comeback from 0-3 down against Alaska in the 2016 All-Filipino Finals.
In order to extend the series though, the Gin Kings will have to figure out how to win Game 5 following a rather lackluster effort in Game 4.
The Beermen dropped a 20-2 bomb right in the first quarter Friday and despite what the final score suggested, San Miguel control the game from start to finish.
"Capable sila to do that, so we just have to be more ready sa mga ganung run," Tenorio said.
"Hindi dapat kami nagpa-panic," he added.
With still a long way to go, the Gin Kings are merly looking at cutting their deficit first before thinking about forcing a Game 7.
There's no Ginebra comeback after all if they don't win Game 5 first.
"We're not looking forward, we're not looking at tying the series right away. 'Di naman namin mata-tie yung series kung 'di namin maipapanalo on Sunday eh," Tenorio said.
