With a must-win tournament coming up, Gilas Pilipinas head coach Chot Reyes has called for a mini three-day camp for the national team just before the PBA opens its door once again for the mid-season Commissioner's Cup.

Reyes tweeted the announcement on his Twitter account Tuesday morning, calling the entire national team pool for a series of workouts scheduled for March 14-16.

The Commissioner's Cup will open on March 17.

The current lineup of Gilas Pilipinas currently includes 25 locals from all 12 PBA teams and naturalized center Andray Blatche.

With the exception of Mahindra rookie and Gilas cadet Russel Escoto, who is nursing a knee injury suffered late in the Philippine Cup, all members of the national team are expected to show up.

The training pool includes June Mar Fajardo, Jayson Castro, Calvin Abueva, Paul Lee, Terrence Romeo, Raymond Almazan, Norbert Torres, Art Dela Cruz, Jonthan Grey, LA Revilla, Bradwyn Guinto, Mac Belo, Matthew Wright, Ed Daquioag, Jio Jalalon, Carl Bryan Cruz, RR Pogoy, Mike Tolomia, Von Pessumal, Kevin Ferrer, Arnold Van Opstal, and Alfonso Gotladera.

The first tournament for Gilas Pilipinas this year is the SEABA Championships which the country will host on May 12-18. That tournament is Southeast Asia's qualifer for the 2017 FIBA Asia Cup slated some time in August. Only the champion gets to go.
