The PBA Finals was NOT scripted

Arwind Santos goes into detail why the PBA hasn't gone the WWE route.
To all the people who think that the PBA Finals, or every series for that matter, that feature sister teams is scripted, well good news to, Arwind Santos actually respects you.
It doesn't mean you're right though.
Santos, whose San Miguel team just figured in a best-of-7 Finals against Brgy. Ginebra for the 2017 Philippine Cup, which the Beermen won in just five games, has denied everything about the PBA going the WWE route.
"Yung mga ganun kasi na pananaw na tao na scripted yung Finals, ako kasi, kapag binanggit natin yung respetuhan sa isa't-isa, respetuhin natin kung ano yung ini-isip ng iba," Santos said when asked about the topic.
"Hindi naman natin handle yung di ba?" he added.
Further going into detail about how the 2017 Philippine Cup Finals was never in a way dictated by some outer force, Santos said that it's simply near-impossible to fake such things.
Also, with championships on the line, there's no such thing as sister teams.
"Ako ang masasabi ko, mahirap eh. Kahit sabihin mo na magkakapatid, pag sinabi ng tatay na 'oh sige kung sino mataas ang grade, bibigyan ko ng 500' minsan pepersonalin mo yung kapatid mo eh kasi gusto mo makuha yung 500," the 2013 Most Valuable Player said.
Regardless of what people think or say, Santos is emphatic in making his point that he and his team is not about to miss out on glory to give way to an opponent that just happened to belong under the same corporate umbrella.
"Magka-kaibigan kami, same company kami, pero walang bigayan. Malabo yun," Arwind said.
"Hindi mangyayari samin yun. Kasi karangalan ang pinagtatalunan, ang pinagsasakripisyuhan dito. At history di ba, masarap pa rin na maku-kwento mo sa anak mo na kami yung champion nung ganito, kami nakagawa ng ganito. Mahirap kung ibibigay mo yun para sakin," he added.
