The roller-coaster ride continues for Alab Pilipinas in the second half of the elimination round in the 2016-2017 Asean Basketball League.
Coming off another upset loss, the Filipinos want nothing more than a win.
The only problem is, standing opposite Alab on Friday at the Southorn Stadium Gym is league-leading Hong Kong which, in their most recent meeting, dealt them their worst loss of the tournament thus far.
The Philippines and Hong Kong commence their three-game series in the stretch run of the season at 8:00 PM. All of the action will be broadcast LIVE on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23 as well as streamed LIVE.
In early January, the Eastern Long Lions torched the Filipinos to the tune of 12 triples and ultimately a 12-point margin of victory. With just two losses in 15 games, they have emerged as the favorites.
Still, Alab are determined to pull off an upset of their own following their defeat at the hands of lowly Malaysia last Sunday. At 9-7, Ray Parks Jr. and company have better yet begin to build momentum for the playoffs.
