DOWN THE WIRE.

As expected, the meeting between NCAA champion Malayan High School of Science and UAAP champion Far Eastern University-Diliman in the 2017 National Basketball Training Center League National Finals was a clash of kings.

The much-anticipated matchup went down the wire, but in the end, the Red Robins just had enough against the Baby Tamaraws for a 64-60 decision on Tuesday at the MOA Arena.

Will Gozum and Carl Lacap were the only ones in double-digits with 12 and 11 points, respectively, but Malayan drew contributions from up and down the roster.

Showing off their depth, all 11 Red Robins contributed in the scoring column as they ended the elimination round with an immaculate 3-0 standing.

On the other hand, the Baby Tamaraws suffered their first setback despite the best effort of JJ Sapinit who scored 15 points.
