TOUCH THE SKY.

Ben Mbala leapt, slammed, and yelled his way to an undisputed MVP award all while bringing De La Salle University to the promised land.

As such, it's safe to say he knows a thing or two about dunking.

And so, when that man - that man who changed the life of broadcaster Mico Halili - gives you a perfect 10 for your dunk, you know you gotta be good.

David Carlos not only got one perfect 10 from Mbala, he got four perfect 10s for his four slam dunks in the 2017 National Basketball Training Center Slam Dunk Contest last Thursday.

And it wasn't just the UAAP MVP either. Carlos was also infallible to Philippine basketball legends - and well-known dunkers Jerry Codinera, Danny Ildefonso, and Kerby Raymundo.

The five-foot-nine professional dunker left no doubt in winning the competition that included athletic high schooler Encho Serrano and NCAA All-Star Slam Dunk champion Jebb Bulawan.

That much was evident right from the start with these two dunks of his in the preliminary round.

He then added this jaw-dropper to start the championship round.

Fil-Canadian Matthew Daves got for himself a perfect score from the judges in his second dunk in the Finals, but he still proved to be no match for what Carlos brought to close out the contest.
