Phoenix will parade a new import to replace the Puerto Rico-bound Eugene Phelps.
Turns out Eugene Phelps did play his first on only game for Phoenix in the 2017 PBA Commissioner's Cup over the weekend.
With El Destructor now preparing for a stint in Puerto Rico, the Fuel Masters are turning to a defensive force to continue their campaign in the mid-season conference.
Jameel McKay, fresh from a championship in Australia's National Basketball League, will now anchor Phoenix and is set to make his debut Wednesday at the Big Dome opposite the Star Hotshots.
Phoenix will hope to join defending champion Rain or Shine and Meralco for the early lead at 2-0 as Star likewise makes its debut for the Commissioner's Cup.
Gametime is set at 7:00 p.m.
In the first game at 4:15 p.m., Alaska is also on the hunt for its second straight win in as many games as the Aces take on Blackwater.
