Alab Pilipinas eyeing more momentum for playoff push
FANNING THE FLAMES. Ray Parks Jr. and the rest of Alab Pilipinas want nothing more than to end the elimination round with a red-hot streak.

Nothing will change with the homecourt advantages and the seedings when playoff-bound Alab Pilipinas take on also-ran Kaohsiung to end the elimination round of the 2017 Asean Basketball League.

Only having won twice in the last seven, however, the Filipinos will still go all out for the win on Sunday in Taiwan.

The Philippines wants nothing more than to bring a winning streak into the playoffs. It shoots for one starting at 7:00 PM and it will be streamed LIVE and will be broadcast at 8:00 PM on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23.

Alab clinched the third-seed courtesy of a big-time victory versus league-leading Hong Kong the last time around. With a semifinal showdown against second-seed looming, they will need all the momentum they can get.

For the Truth, it will be all about pride. The rookie team’s maiden campaign was far from a success, but an upset of the Filipinos will go a long way in making sure they don’t finish at the bottom of the standings.
