Even better Raymar Jose raring to get back into Philippine ball

NEW AND IMPROVED. Expect Raymar Jose to be back in the PBA D-League when its second conference rolls along.
In December of last year, Raymar Jose was still leading Far Eastern University in UAAP Season 79.
One month later, he then dove headfirst into helping rookie team Kaohsiung in the 2016-2017 ABL Season.
While the fortunes of those two teams trended in opposite directions, Jose was their constant – the workhorse who gave his all in each and every game.
The now 24-year-old’s five-year stint in Morayta shaped him into the hardworking player he is today, but that still paled in comparison to the competition he faced in the Southeast Asian regional league. “Sobrang laking bagay sa akin yung experience kasi yung mga kalaban, iba’t-ibang nationality tapos may imports din,” he shared.
And now he has much more experience in international play, Jose is looking forward to using all that he has learned back on Philippine soil. “Plano ko namang mag-(PBA) D-League ako ulit. Yun muna,” he shared.
The D-League’s second conference tips off in April and, without a doubt, all participating teams there would want the one-time UAAP champion on their side.
Before that, however, Jose said he intends to rest – something he has earned after about eight months of non-stop basketball. As he put it, through chuckles, “Pag-uwi ko, pahinga muna. Pahinga muna tapos saka maghahanap ng team sa (PBA) D-League.”
