Cuan expects Ravena’s winning mentality to rub off on Alab
ALL I DO IS WIN. Coach Mac Cuan said the biggest thing Kiefer Ravena will bring to Alab Pilipinas is his winning mentality.

Kiefer Ravena is all set to don the blue, red, and white in the 2016-2017 Asean Basketball League.

And his arrival could not have come at a better time with Alab Pilipinas entering a semifinals showdown with Singapore.

Even better for the Filipino side, they will be getting “The Phenom” at close to 100 percent of his powers.

Talking about the right hand injury he sustained a month ago, Ravena said, “My injury is getting better. At least, nakakapaglaro na ako ulit.”

He then continued, “I’m very excited for the semifinals against Singapore. It’s been a while since I played.”

The 23-year-old injured his shooting hand in the 2017 Dubai International Tournament last February. One month later, he is no longer feeling any ill effects.

More than a Ravena almost at full health, head coach Mac Cuan said just Ravena himself is already a more than welcome addition for the Philippines. Asked what his addition means for the team, he answered, “His leadership and his winning mentality. We all know he’s a winner, he’s always been a winner.”

He then continued, “Malaking bagay yun sa amin because it will rub off on the other players.”

With another two-time UAAP MVP in tow, Cuan said third-seed Alab are nothing but confident they can take down second-seed Singapore. “Any time you add Kiefer Ravena to your team, you always like your chances. We just have to do a good job locking in mentally,” he said.
