Jio Jalalon gave a glimpse of his massive star potential Friday night, saving Star from an NLEX upset by calmly stepping in to shoot the game winner to beat the Road Warriors at the buzzer.

However, despite his heroics, the talented rookie insists that he's still not THAT guy for his team.

In his eyes, Star has a bigger Hotshot. For now at least.

"Si kuya Paul [Lee] talaga yung go-to-guy namin eh, siya pag last shot," Jalalon said.

"Na-timing lang siguro na naipasa sakin at yun, nakita ko na yung oras tinira ko na lang," he added.

To be fair, the final Star sequence that led to Jalalon's big shot did start with Paul Lee before the ball ended up to Jalalon following a nice pass from import Tony Mitchell.

Still, against NLEX, it was Jalalon who was the man and he did a pretty good job.

Also, it wasn't a bad way to make his first PBA game winner as the Hotshots moved to a perfect 3-0 in the new conference because of it.

"Nakita ko lang yung oras na wala na. Naswertehana ba," Jalalon said.

"Sobrang saya, pero siyempre meron pa rin kaming mga mistakes. Natuto kami dun," he added.
